BiographyElizabeth's Local Address column, covering Washington-area real estate issues, appears weekly in the Washington Post's Sunday Business section. She also co-hosts live chats at 1 p.m. every other Friday with the Post's Real Estate Editor, Maryann Haggerty. She appears frequently NPR's Marketplace Money and Talk of the Nation programs, and other broadcast outlets. Elizabeth is also author of two consumer-advice books, The Fearless Home Buyer and....you guessed it, The Fearless Home Seller. She is a native of northeastern Pennsylvania but has made a home in the Washington, D.C., area long enough to learn how to navigate the city’s traffic circles, but not so long as to forget how to drive in the snow. She is a graduate of Penn State University and attended the University of Exeter, England, before J.K. Rowling made it cool. Elizabeth and her husband, Guy, are the parents of two children. For more than a decade, Elizabeth was the housing writer for Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine, where her work earned the Best Magazine Report award from the National Association of Real Estate Editors. She also wrote a recurring column on couples and money for the magazine. |
